Steel fabricator?
Welding engineer retiring, or moving up to Division 2? We can be your retained welding engineer and design your connections. We never bid against you on a job you bring us.
Consulting engineer?
Delegated design or temporary works outside your scope? Calculations your reviewer can check without chasing the designer. List us as an acceptable specialty engineer, or call to discuss it.
Building owner?
Repairs in a building that has to stay occupied? We plan the shoring and monitoring around the people in it. Ask your consultant or contractor to bring us in, or call us first.

THE RISK, AND WHAT WE DO
A dimension you were told to verify is hard to claim as an extra. We scan before you price, so misfits show up in our model, not on site.
The shoring design is your responsibility. We do it as your engineer, and we can supply and run it.
The load has to go somewhere while the column is out. We transfer it hydraulically and monitor it, with the building in use.
Undefined on the drawings means undefined in your price. We design it, check it against our scan and lay it out on site.
Proving the existing structure can carry it is on you. We design the bases, mats and grillages against its assessed capacity, with reshoring below where needed.
Existing bar is often of unknown chemistry or not a weldable grade. We check it, write the procedure and weld it under our CSA W186 certification.

Base columns under two occupied 18‑storey towers, in Hamilton and Toronto, had to be rebuilt with the residents still at home. We shored each column, moved its load onto hydraulic jacks and read the load live while the damaged concrete came out and the column was rebuilt. In Toronto, monitoring caught an unbalanced moment when slab framing disengaged from the column during demolition. We analysed it, rebalanced the jack pressures and carried on. Then we returned the load to the rebuilt column.
